A. Hatred and fear of Christianity

Returning to the subject of Mr. Walker's website, one significant aspect of the site is hostility.  In a section subtitled "Hitler compared to God/Jesus/Christians," Mr. Walker claims that his analysis is free from bias, that his conclusions come only from the facts. However, in the same section he makes a number of comments indicative not of a lack of bias, but of the exact opposite.
For one thing, he compares Christians to heroin addicts. The Marxists also compared belief in God to a drug, and their vicious attempts to exterminate Christianity require no documentation. Obviously, if something like drugs or religion is harmful to society, it is reasonable for the authorities to take all possible measures to eliminate or at least minimize this threat to the public well-being. That Mr. Walker's comparison of Christians and heroin addicts is not just a passing analogy is clear from further comments. He writes of the dangers of Christianity and says that Christians will protect themselves at all costs, even to the extent of slaughtering innocent people. He warns of "fanatical" believers who gain political control and then use it to "favor" their "religious and political inclinations." The facts that it is unbelievers who are currently slaughtering millions of innocent people (unborn children), that is unbelievers who are using political control to cram their beliefs down people's throats with opposing views stifled as much as possible, escape him.
Continuing in this vein, Mr. Walker says the bible is a violent book that can "easily create" intolerance, and adds that its superstitious beliefs "can create dangers to society." He warns against the dangers of the religious right and says that the "fanatical beliefs of Right-wing conservatives today" parallel Hitler. The now defunct Moral Majority is compared to the Nazis, and another section of his site ("Hitler's religious beliefs and fanaticism") compares Hitler's condemnations of immorality to those of Christians who oppose pornography and immorality today. Finally, at the end of another section ("Hitler's religious beliefs and fanaticism'), he equates religious people with racists and neo-Nazis, denying all such people authorization to borrow from his site.
He gives as an example Hitler's educational policy of state control, which is compared to the way "Right Wing Christians" "attempt to take control of public and private schools." Of course, it is the Left Wing Anti-Christians who have been highly successful at taking control of the schools. The Left Wing Anti-Christians prevent students from being taught about problems with Darwinism, about lifestyles based on traditional morality instead of a bankrupt amorality that embraces perversion of every kind. The Left claims to be open minded, compassionate, and tolerant, even as it seeks to eliminate every vestige of opposition and tolerates no disagreement, while the Christians are like Hitler - at least in the fog of Mr. Walker's twilight world.
Mr. Walker sees Christians as embryonic Hitlers, trying to seize power so that they can establish a brutal right-wing dictatorship. That he does not objectively examine Stalin and compare him to dangerous secular tendencies and fanaticism on the anti-religious left shows him to be an extremely one-sided individual (though Communism is mentioned briefly, in passing, allowing for a pretense of objectivity if necessary). The threat to American religion that comes from the anti-religious left is ignored. Hostility toward religion; intolerance of people with opposing views; use of government power to arbitrarily impose elitist views; and contempt for human life (as proven by the brutal slaughter of millions of unborn babies, classified as "subhuman" or "life-not-worthy-of-living" to use a Nazi phrase and tossed in the garbage without a twinge of conscience) - these come from the left, not from the right. A search of "Christian holocaust" reveals a couple of sites which say that Christians should be killed
- but, they come from the left and are against religion, so there is nothing wrong with them. In Mr. Walker's peculiar way of seeing things, they are not half as menacing as a Christian statement that children in school should be taught about problems with the theory of Darwinism.
Concerning atheism, here are a few quotes from Stalin, showing that a brutal tyant believed in materialism. Does this mean that all atheists and all opponents of organized religion are potential Stalins? If references to God by evildoers supposedly prove the evil of Christianity and of religious belief in general, do the following quotes from Stalin prove with equal validity that people who reject religion and believe in atheism are evil monsters, scheming to seize power and set up a left-wing anti-religious dictatorship? Of course not. Such logic is only valid for one side, not for both.

Dialectical materialism is the world outlook of the Marxist-Leninist party. It is called dialectical materialism because its approach to the phenomena of nature, its method of studying and apprehending them, is dialectical, while its interpretation of the phenomena of nature, its conception of these phenomena, its theory, is materialistic...

As a matter of fact, Marx and Engels took from Feuerbach's materialism its "inner kernel," developed it into a scientific-philosophical theory of materialism and cast aside its idealistic and religious-ethical encumbrances...

(quoting Marx):
"The material, sensuously perceptible world to which we ourselves belong is the only reality.... Our consciousness and thinking, however supra-sensuous they may seem, are the product of a material, bodily organ, the brain. Matter is not a product of mind, but mind itself is merely the highest product of matter." (Ibid., p. 332.)....

2) The principal features of Marxist philosophical materialism are as follows:
a) Contrary to idealism, which regards the world as the embodiment of an "absolute idea," a "universal spirit," "consciousness," Marx's philosophical materialism holds that the world is by its very nature material, that the multifold phenomena of the world constitute different forms of matter in motion, that interconnection and interdependence of phenomena as established by the dialectical method, are a law of the development of moving matter, and that the world develops in accordance with the laws of movement of matter and stands in no need of a "universal spirit."
"The materialistic outlook on nature," says Engels, "means no more than simply conceiving nature just as it exists, without any foreign admixture." (Marx and Engels, Vol. XIV, p. 651.)

Speaking of the materialist views of the ancient philosopher Heraclitus, who held that "the world, the all in one, was not created by any god or any man, but was, is and ever will be a living flame, systematically flaring up and systematically dying down"' Lenin comments: "A very good exposition of the rudiments of dialectical materialism." (Lenin, Philosophical Notebooks, p. 318.)...

Cast aside your idealistic and religious-ethical encumbrances. Just follow reason, science and logic (Stalin and Hitler are identical here at least, if not elsewhere). There is no need of a God or divine rules. The material world to which we ourselves belong is the only reality. Mind is merely the highest product of matter.
A cruel, evil, fanatical, intolerant, and intransigent dictator rejected religion. Therefore, can I say that atheists and secular humanists are dangerous, narrow-minded, intolerant fanatics, scheming to seize the levers of power so they can eliminate religion, morality, and private property, and use the power of the state to force their views on people? Of course there will be appropriate punishments for backward, reactionary, and anti-social elements that need to be told what to believe for their own good. Shall we say "Those secular humanists are a menace, cleverly disguising themselves as moderates while they stealthily consolidate their grip on the government and the mass media, plotting to seize control of the schools and forbid all disagreement?"
Someone said that Weimar Germany was a powderkeg of right-wing fundamentalists waiting to explode. If I said that Czarist Russia was a powderkeg of atheists, Darwinists, humanists, and socialists waiting to explode, knowledgeable people would think I was ignorant of Russian history, possibly even a moron.
